An important public work of art depicting refugees and migrants has been unveiled at the Catholic University in Washington, D.C. against the magnificent backdrop of the Basilica of the National Shrine. The 20-foot-long sculpture sits atop the reflecting pool, the bottom of which features Virginia Mist and Mount Airy pavers. Blackhill fabricated the custom sized paving for this project, coordinating with and supporting the installer’s team along the way. The precision of installation of paving required precision in fabrication and handling of the materials.
